The amount shown on your statement will be higher than the rate applied. This amount is not what you actually paid, but corresponds to a bank imprint. A bank imprint, or pre-authorization, is a way for certain merchants (such as gas stations or car rental services) to check that you have the funds in your account to pay for the final transaction. The merchant will therefore request a higher amount to verify that you can pay it. This amount will appear as 'Pending' on your account.
